On Friday, March 22, 2024, 7 members of the Student Council from Dominic Senior High School, which includes Andreas Kasusanto Pribadi, Dorothea Pane Melia, Einstein Marchyco, Barnabas Fajar Prasetyo, Claudia Hildegardis Amir, Fricilla Marcilianty Supono, and Amazea Asa Lastreva, visited Canisius Junior High School. They arranged a visit to execute their main program called ‘Meja Berasa Gulipodi’ which means networking with students to explore their inner potential. There was a total of 25 students that are present from grade 9.
A day before the event, 7 members of the student council prepared their presentation and games for the event. There are two teachers who supervised them, Mrs. Atun and Ms. Yoan. There, they make sure that everything was prepared for the next day.
The student council members prepared themselves a few minutes before the event at their school and arrived at Canisius Junior High School Wonosari on time, accompanied with two teachers, Mrs. Dini and Mrs. Upik.
The event started at 11:00 AM with an opening by Hilde and an introduction of the council members. This was then continued by a sharing of experiences from Dorothea and Fricilla during their ‘FIKSI’ competition, which is The Indonesian Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival. This competition is a talent event in the vocational field held for high school and vocational school level students. They shared their experiences of successfully passing through 50 out of 352 works and provided tips and tricks on how they managed to reach that point. During the Q&A session, two students who asked questions received a key chain as a prize.
After the sharing of experiences was finished, they invited the students to play fun english games in groups to improve collaboration among the students and their english skills. The students also received a reward as an appreciation for their hard work and their cooperation during the game. The event ended with taking group photos together with the students.
The purpose of this event is so that the student council can implement their main program and indirectly promote the school with the students achievements, one of them is by passing through 50 out of 352 works in the ‘FIKSI’ competition. And finally, the student council members felt satisfied after the completion of the event and will definitely become an unforgettable experience for them.
